Dear Friends in Christ,

Welcome to our CTS Website. I hope these pages will give you a feel for the kind of place we at Christ the Servant are striving to be: an open and progressive Christian community dedicated to living out the implications of Jesus' love ethic. Our acronym, CTS, refers not only to Christ the Servant, but also to our three tasks: care, teach, and serve. We are trying to be a place of generous caring, lively study, and committed service of the world. We hope you will test that out by paying us a visit. So, have fun with these pages and may God be with you.

In Christ,

      Pastor Peter Bastien

We welcome all baptized Christians at our communion table. The baskets beneath our altar are used every week during our offertory to receive food for the Gaithersburg Help Pantry.  We also remember those in need in our weekly offerings for World Hunger, and in special offerings during Advent and Lent, and for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Please get in touch with us at 301-977-0285, to offer comments and join our mailing list for announcements and special events.

CTS is a Reconciling in Christ Congregation and
a member of the Washington Metropolitan Synod of the ELCA
(Evangelical Lutheran Church in America).

We are located in Montgomery Village (Gaithersburg) Maryland
